Romantic rendezvous

Do you remember how smoothly Yuvraj got selected for team India, however this time the path isn’t that smooth? Yuvraj had to travel long to reach his love destination.

  • His first relationship rumor unfurled in the year 2014 with Neha Dhupia when they were spotted to hit the birthday party of Sophie Choudry together. Neha, on the other hand, denied this fact.
  • The second name that was attached to Yuvraj was Minissha Lamba when a kissing picture was leaked, Minissha also denied the reports.
  • Anushka Dandekar and Yuvraj were spotted together in an event in Mumbai and later they were highlighted in reports.

  • Later he was seen in IPL hanging out with Preity Zinta, there were many pictures that went viral and highly popular among his fans.
  • And the last name attached to Yuvraj was Deepika Padukone, the reports were highly spread. It started when Yuvraj played amazingly in World Cup T20 2007 and Deepika was cheering him. Later he also organized a birthday party for her.

These were the names that were highly popular in the media but eventually, Yuvraj met the love of his life.

Hitched for life!

Unlike most of the other love stories, this is a story with an amazing vibe of Cricket and Bollywood. It was indeed a romantic and typical love story, the only thing that this adorable couple missed is “love at first sight” as their friendship turned to love after years. Yuvraj said he never believed in love at first sight. It’s a thing for teenagers, he also said that he earned this relationship.

So it all started at a party where Yuvraj saw Hazel for the first time, he was very much attracted to her smile. Yuvraj approached her for a date and she ignored him for at least 8 times. Finally, they started building a relationship of trust and friendship.

One fine day Yuvraj proposed her in a perfect destination, yes I should reveal it. So the marriage proposal was at the beach of Bali, Yuvraj revealed that he was so nervous and finally got a “yes”.

The couple formally announced their togetherness on twitter and got hitched on 30 November 2016.

Cancer Fight

“Seminoma Lung Cancer” is a word that has the power to scare or bring hell out of any person. Well, the same happened with Yuvraj. As he quotes in most of his interviews that how he felt during the days back then.

It started in the year 2011 when he was diagnosed with rare cancer which was observed in only 1% of the whole cancer population i.e. with a cancerous germ-cell tumor located between his lungs. However, he never gave up his positivity and self-motivation towards a healthy life which helped him to fight cancer.

So making the story short, after being diagnosed with cancer he immediately moved to undergo the chemotherapy medication in Indianapolis and Boston, finally discharged in March 2012 following his third cycle of Chemotherapy.

He returned to India in April. He also started working out for and later rejoined the cricket team, all this was not less than a miracle.

Retirement

“After 25 years in and around the 22 yards and 17 years of international cricket off and on, I decide to move on”

This is what Yuvraj quoted on 10th June 2019 announcing his retirement from all the forms of cricket. He made this announcement calling the media. His emotional speech made all his fans travel time along with him. He thanked everyone and said that cricket has given him more than he ever thought of.

Even after retirement, the game called him back as he was selected to play for the Toronto Nationals franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament.

Post-retirement

It’s not been years that Yuvraj announced his retirement but turning from a cricketer to ex-cricketer says it all. However, Yuvraj is and will always be India’s hero for the 2011 world cup campaign and for this dynamic journey that inspires all of us to work beyond any limitations.

In an interview, Yuvraj’s mother revealed that after retirement he is giving time to other sports and happily enjoying his life.

Life of Yuvraj started with passion and enthusiasm to achieve the heights and his hard work made him an Indian cricket superstar. If you have a thought to be India’s cricket superstars in this virtual world, play with us. – Fancy11
